going to attempt to fix cracked screen but have a few question

im pretty sure i can fix my screen, but what exactly is the digitizer. i dont have any bleeding colors and the phone works just fine but it's cracked very badly. Do i need to replace the LCD or digitizer. am i safe with just buying a screen kit for 20 bucks. i need to find the cheapest way possible hear

If the digitizer is broke you will need a new one. No real cheap way around it but it is cheaper than buying a new phone. Maybe somebody else knows a cheaper place than this but i dont...unless you try ebay but i dont think it will be cheaper.

Defenetly look around on ebay first, I bought a digitizer from a website for an ipod touch that needed it replaced and payed way too much money for it. Like 100 dollars where as they were going for like 30 bucks on ebay (brand new). Also be careful when taking apart the casing the experience with the ipod touch was a b**** and I ended up putting a slim metal object through my finger..
