Going to buy the Macbook today!

Going today to the Apple store to get the white mid-range Macbook and Ipod Touch. This is going to be my first Mac and I'm super excited . But before I go, is there any anything I should know/get while I'm there? Is there any other discounts I could get?

Visit http://apple.procureweb.ac.uk from a computer on your University's network. If you see "You are not authorized to view this page" then you're not eligible.

And I must say it has to be the most beautiful thing ever .
Snapped on the Incase hardshell and now I'm asking should I wait till the battery fully charges before turning it on? And what would be the quickest way to transfer my media files from my Dell (ugh) desktop? I do have an external hard drive but is there a way to connect the two directly?

I realize that there is the macbook update where the case would be in aluminum. However, I doubt that it would be released by tomorrow and don't really care much for the waiting game. Plus I needed a new mp3 player

Congrats and Welcome to the Mac!

If you have an ethernet crossover cable, I think you can direct connect the two. Never done it that way myself, but I would think it is possible. Maybe someone else can verify. Also, if you have a wired (or wireless) network, you can connect that way.

I do have a wireless network (7mb/s over Netgear RangeMaxx G network) and I can't find my ethernet cable right now but I'll buy another if necessary. I need to transfer about 60GB of files so I'm looking for the quickest way.

Edit: Transferred all with an external.
