Going to China this Summer, Can I bring the iPad?

I recently accepted an offer for an internship in Shanghai and was wondering whether there would be a tax for iPads entering China. I will probably be landing in Hong Kong first and then flying to Shanghai. Will it be a problem?

Now why would anyone be taxed for bringing any device to a country plus just saw an apple update about the Asia release date for the iPad2. I maybe wrong but im sure they have the the iPad1 there already so iPad 2 is no diff?
