Decided on the MBA 13.3", 4GB, 256GB SSD.
Where can I get the best price?
I am eligible for a student discount.
Thanks

Is there a better price than the Macmall discounted price (AI) discount?
$1454

Have you checked the Refurbished section on the Apple website? I always buy refurb products from there and have saved hundreds of dollars.

student discount is weak imo
its better to go to a reseller and haggle abit.
I managed to get $149 off (10%) by haggling abit here and there

Are you in UK or US? I am a UK student, and I'm going to buy my air tomorrow. It's 14% off for uni students.

So for me, I have gone for the 13" 128GB 4GB, should be £1099, but will cost me about £945. Which I think is pretty good. Don't need the extra GB because my iMac will handle all the heavy stuff. Can't wait for it to come :D

I am in the U.S.
"Children", care to give name of reseller that will haggle for 10% off?
I called B&H and they would not haggle at all off their price which is $1499.
Amazon has it for $1498.
13" 1.7 4gb, 256 SSD

I always go with Amazon. With free shipping and no sales tax, their price is always lowest "out the door." Just ordered the 11" 4/128 for 1138...

Try for an open box at best buy. Great bargains. I just got an early mbp base 13" for $800. :)

MacMall has a special promo that they do with Apple Insider. From the website:
* MacMall is offering AI readers 3% off their already reduced MacBook Pro & MacBook Air prices with coupon code APPINSDRMWB29068

Offer expires November 18th, 2011. 3% discount factored into prices above. The discount will be applied automatically when clicking through the coupon code links above or the prices listed in the pricing matrix above. The 3% discount is reflected as "Instant Discount(s)" during checkout, after the items have been added to your shopping cart. Discount will not show up before items are added to your shopping cart. Discount can not be combined with MacMall's $10 off Mac systems offer available by phone.

I have no experience with MacMall. Personally, the savings are so slight in this scenario ($25) that I'd stick with Apple and the EDU discount. (If you're looking into MacMall as a serious option, you should make sure they don't charge shipping. It would likely negate any savings; Apple ships free.)
