Gold a different shade?

I just exchanged my silver iPhone 6s for a gold one today. It seems a different shade than last years iPhone 6. Anyone else notice this? In certain light it looks copper itself (not like the rose gold), but it does seems darker for sure. Love the colour!

yup, i have the gold 6s+ and i had the gold last year. side by side they are different. this year's gold is lighter almost more champagne

First thing I noticed when I got my Gold 6S Plus. Not sure if it is placebo or not, but it seems more reflective and changes colors a tiny bit in the proper lighting. I still like it a lot though, haha.

I've noticed this in the store as well. It seems that they've gone to a more champagne gold reminiscent of the 5S.
