I am not quite rich enough to buy an Apple Watch Edition but I was thinking a white gold Apple Watch would be nicer than the yellow gold version.
What do you guys think?

At the end of the day, between that and/or platinum, I think you end up with a very similar looking product to the stainless steel version. YOU'LL know, which is all that should matter, but for those more focused on the look - or, more accurately, what others think of the look - it may not justify the exponential price jump.

I'm not keen on gold and seldom wear gold jewellery so a gold watch is not on my list of things I'd ever want. I'd certainly find white gold more wearable but I'd stick with stainless steel if I wanted shiny silver (I didn't: I have a silver aluminium watch) as it seems more practical.

Apple knows that most people who want an Edition aren't sophisticated/secure enough to buy a white gold or platinum watch, for fear of everyone thinking it's steel.
