That isn't even an iPhone.

I think Apple's site would have official images of the released iPhone, which of course has white antennae breaks on the gold.

oh, and a gold apple logo, not clear

I would love the gold if it had the gold bands. The white bands ruin it for me.

Sexy. The trend has been that gold jewellery is commonly referred to as 'tacky', 'gaudy', 'cheesy' 'bling' etc so people throw those terms at anything called the colour 'gold'.

Aesthetically though, the gold, or rather, champagne, iPhones are the most pleasing as the subtly of the shade matches the refinement of the design. If you consider something so refined, in a subtle shade, 'gaudy' then your perception is bizarrely skewed beyond the normal boundaries of preference of taste, and it's more likely that you're overreacting rather than genuinely expressing an opinion on the aesthetic of what you're looking at. Apple do great hardware design, and they're very conservative with the colours and this shade is definitely conservative.

That mock up is a bit nicer than the actual iP6 though, as the real 6 has some white bands that ruin it somewhat.

Hmm...now I'm thinking Apple made the right decision to go with white bands. Those gold color bands look more Crayola "flesh tone" or like foundation makeup color for Caucasian skin tones. Gold is a tough one to match bands on. I can see why Apple didn't try. Or didn't approve for release any attempts they made.

I have no idea why apple didn't make the bands gold on this. It makes it stick out 10x more than the other ones.

I liked the gold 5S, but the gold 6 looks like someone took a white crayola crayon and drew the lines on.

Silver or Space a Gray.
