iPhone XS Gold XS Looks Pink

Maybe it's just me but in a lot of lighting conditions the back of the gold model seems to have a pinkish/blush/rose gold color. It's not what I was expecting but I don't mind.

Yeah I seem to have pinned it to warmer color temperature lighting gives it a rose/pink tint to it. Other times it’s copper or straight brownish gold. No biggie though. It’s nice to switch it up from getting black/space grey every year

yea i agree. I was quite taken aback at first because i was hoping for a 24K gold type of look but this pinkish hue has grown on me. It's not a feminine color it's just a nice shade of rosy blush gold. It's so smooth and clean plus with the gold borders it blends perfectly.

It depends heavily on lighting and reflections. It goes from a pinkish white to a reflective gold.

Mine has looked anywhere from a pale rose gold, to a new penny copper look, to bronze, to yellow gold, to beige.

It’s a chameleon. I enjoy all of the colors.

It rarely looks like a straight up yellow gold for me. This seems to be highly dependent on the surroundings though. If there are any warm colors around, like a mahogany desk, it can show up as a pinkish/coral color.

ugh!! I'm now having remorse about switching from silver to gold, but with all the hell i went through to do the exchange, I'm sticking with the gold, worse case I can slap a cover on the back!

I actually think it looks best in Apple's promo pic versus the store lighting

My wife still has her rose gold 6S, I will take some comparison pics later. It's not really pink per se, just iridescent warm / 24K gold. Next to my phone her old rose gold one looks pretty rosy / pink.

Yes it does. I like it though. I miss my rose gold 7 plus so it’s nice to have a pinky gold phone. Gold was the best colour this year.

I wouldn't want it to look like yellow gold, it'll look extremely tacky. I like the subtle gold look.

There are multiple threads showing the color, but from my perspective, this is a really difficult color that you really have to see in person that can kind of morph depending on the lighting.
