iPad Golden iPad5 anyone?

Yeah but I thought about a golden iPad 5. The iPhone 5S looks really nice in gold color, but for no reasons, i kinda think a gold iPad would look girly?

I agree, that would be too much gold. It would need something to balance it out like the white/black glass on the back of an iPhone 5S.

the ipad already stands out as it is. adding gold would be too much. understated gold is the best.
I'm not convinced i like the ipad mini styling. the iPad 2 design in the black and aluminium is still dear to my heart (like the 16gb ipod touch)

I would definitely buy one, if my other spec criteria are met in the Mini.
As many have said, a gold coloured iPad could easily look silly, but I think Apple is planning on making one, and here's why.
The gold 5S surprised me a little when I first saw it because of how modest the colour is - in fact I think a slightly stronger gold colour on the iPhone would look even better.
I'm now wondering if they made it such a light gold colour so that using a ton of that same colour on the back of an iPad wouldn't look ridiculous.
Would be really interesting to see a mock up of an iPad with the 5S shade of gold...

If it had a similar backing like the i5s I would buy it. But I dont' think I would like the look of an all gold back.
I may be interested in a gold mini. Only thing holding me back from another white Apple device is the potential for visible buildup between the glass and home button. Has the likelihood of that been reduced with touch id?

I don't really think so. It's difficult telling the gold iPhone and the silver iPhone apart.
It looks quite different in person.

Yeah I thought it the gold looked really cool until I saw it in the store. The silver one looks much better. The gold kinda looks like it was silver and then someone pissed on it and it stained over the course of several years
All personal opinion but no gold for me on anything, I have had the black since the original phone and hope they continue with it, I can't state how dissappointed I will be if they dont.
The original iPhone was silver.
I LOVE my Gold iPhone 5S! I own an iPad 3 that I got a only a year and half ago. If they do make a Gold full size iPad 5 to match my iPhone 5S despite my iPad only being not even 2 years old it will be extremely hard to not buy it.

Yes but Apple & it's billionaire customers can. Pricing for that demographic would be stratospheric. Just think how many of the Apple faithful that would impress. They'd be able to do even more bragging to their friends about Apple. Headlines would be everywhere. Those emotionally connected on a day basis that already love to say that Apples changed their lives would be further enhanced. Gold Apple products are the future for the vain, the insecure & the uber rich
