Over the past week I've gone from losing barely 4% overnight which is a 8 hour period to suddenly losing between 12-13% with no changes... Can anybody suggest why and any suggestions what I could do to get back to normal?

Did you leave a GPS app running that it constantly requesting your location?

No and I checked location services and nothing stated it has used my location apart from Siri.

It says I've been using my phone when i Havnt basically phantom usage. It's just weird that that it has only just happened when it's great normally.

Remember

Heat will have an effect on your battery....Warmer, the indicator can show a higher charge. If it's cooler at night due to heating being turned down etc, the battery can show a lower charge.....When it warms up, the opposite applies.

Well it has happened as well when on nights where I went to bed at 7am til 3-4pm too.

If there truly have been no changes whatsoever, then it will more than likely be an inaccuracy with the battery meter. If you completely deplete your battery then charge it back up again, it should recalibrate the battery meter. Note that this has nothing to do with battery calibration, which doesn't apply to li-ion batteries.

something is DEFINATELY running in the background on your phone. I would recommend looking at all apps one-by-one. Uninstall one-by-one until you find the culprit.

Ive drained it all the way down at least 2 or 3 times but sadly no luck. Can't figure it out.

Siri has used my location in the last 24 hours. Is it worth turning that off in location services?

I have Siri on and under system services in settings I only have cell network search turned on and when I go to bed I unplug my phone It's at 100% and that's at 11pm. I wake up at 6:30am and it goes down to 97%. 3% loss at night is not bad I think. I don't have a lot of apps installed. I'm really thinking this is just software related

I had the same till this week so can't understand it.

Funny, I would never go back to a 4. The 4s beats it pretty much in every area. My battery life has been great overall.

is it great because you've made about 325987235 posts about every iphone scenario in regards to battery life?

I have? Thats news to me. I've posted alot about it but praising my battery life.

I wonder if it's worth switching off wifi when I go bed? Maybe if it is switching from wifi to 3G is the reason I'm losing so many % on battery life while in standby. Downstairs it seems fine in standby

install 80 APPS like i did

do you use exchange email?

you could either be getting lots of email during the night, or having calendar bug.

Calendar bug is where you get an event invitation which awaits your acceptance, but it gets stuck in a loop inside notification center draining power. You can see the notification pull down flicker when this happens as it refreshes over and over.
