I wonder if we often confuse Goo Gone with Goof Off… their names being so similar?
Never have had a problem using Goo Gone here as it’s never interacted with plastic, acrylic or polycarbonates. Always use a good glass cleaner after cleaning with Goo Gone to remove any oily residue left by the Goo Gone... and buff with a clean towel.
Goof Off (on the other hand) will quickly interact with, melt and often penetrate plastic and polycarbonates. Don’t confuse it with Goo Gone.
Cleaned a G3 iMac and this ADC monitor with Goo Gone this morning and experienced no fogging, clouding or melting on any of the surfaces. *And of course, always test on a small area first.
