I am giving it some thought. I don't need to print fancy stuff basically it would be just for like ebay sales receipts or RMA printed out return labels.

Anybody know of some affordable ones?

If you already have a printer you can buy lantronix and use that for all your printers to become ipad compatible.

I have the brother j525w cost £50 and it's an un-chipped printer, so use fake ink, costs me £10 for 12 cartridges on fleebay.

Lantronix xPrintServer

Check the supported printer list on the Lantronix site. Not all printers are supported. As of August 13, 2013, Canon Pixma series is not. You can request support for a printer not on list, but they don't guarantee that they will add it. Also, they say that Canon has not be responsive to them in adding Pixma support.

Here is a site that lists all Manufactures for AirPrint. Both iOS and OS X

My canon printer works with a full size iPad but unknown for Mini iPad

I have the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus and it's hands down the best printer I have ever owned. The ink lasts forever, and the print quality is superb.

Affordable is highly subjective. Give us your specific budget. Provide a dollar amount.

Also keep TCO in mind. Many inkjets have a low purchase price but high costs for consumables.

Or use an app or other airprint solution (typically has to run on an always on computer).

I just bought the Epson XP 410 and it works great using both my iPad 1 and iPad 3. I didn't have to download any apps for the iPad to do this. 
