Well, just got my replacement iBook battery (after the recall), and I am wondering the best steps for keeping it top-notch...

I have been reading this and heres what I am thinking:

  1. Begin by a calibration (full charge, then discharge until sleep)
  2. Charge all the way back up before use
  3. Do not leave plugged in all the time
  4. Cycle entire battery (discharge and recharge) once a month
  5. For regular use: Partial/frequent charges are fine

Does that sound good? I normally try not to leave it plugged in all the time, I let it go down to 50 or so then charge back up.

Thoughts?

So you are saying put new battery in... drain factory charge, charge full, drain charge, charge full, use?
