you should have used "real blood" instead of sticking some digital blood on to his legs. Try ketchup (nice for the white pants). or: I heard they use red corn syrup to recreate blood. Maybe you could try that.

That's actually what I used.

Bit off a rip off actually as the blood effects really aren't that good!

I wanted a sort of looping spurt as well for when I'm crawling but there is no such thing so I had to keyframe the position of the blood splatter to the leg!

I would have used real stuff but it was a spur of the moment thing all filmed and edited within about half an hour.

Also I am sort of low on shorts (only have this pair) so ripping a hole for the blood to come out of wouldn't really have been good!

To an amateur like me that looks pretty good! How did you do it?

Did it in after effects with 2 separate clips filmed on a tripod then lots of masking and motion tracking of the car.

If you look close I made a fake hood that pops up on impact!
