Anyone know of a good Blu-Ray drive. All I want to do with it, is rip movies onto my new MacBook Pro (getting one tomorrow), and watch a few movies. My maximum is ~$400, but if there is one of good quality, please list it.

Thanks! All help is appreciated!

Oh, and do I need a Blu-Ray Burner to rip movies onto my computer, or just a reader? (yeah, I don't know much about drives :(:))

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you're looking for. External Blu Ray drives that are read only are around $150-200ish. Burners are about double that.

Issues:
-You'd have to carry the drive around
-OS X dosen't support Blu Ray yet (ever?!?), so you'd have to use Windows
-I'm not 100% sure if USB is always going to be supported for Blu Ray...if like some discs in the future might refuse to play at full resolution if the drive is connected through USB (though even still it would be higher than DVD resolution)
