I'd like to take the opportunity to say goodbye to everyone. I've decided to not participate in any public forums anymore.

This forum has been one of the very few that has actually given me a sense of comradeship. During my time here I have enjoyed the opportunity to exchange thoughts, ideas and experience with you all. However, I've decided to draw to a close all participation of forums due to the fact that one particular forum owner elsewhere has been causing me grave problems by publishing my IP address in a thread on his forum (until I intervened with legal threat so he edited out half of it) and sending my email address out to various people and spammers.

I work from this computer and have a rather hectic lifestyle (as we all tend to have these days I suspect) and the intervention the owner of this other forum has caused me doesn't justify me placing my computer and it's information at risk in the way he has exposed it.

Thank you all for a supportive and enjoyable experience here. I wish you all well. Take care.

Sorry to hear ya go but try to stay close by....no wait that will only make u wanna talk again...oh well

Grave is a bit dramatic don't you think?
If you have the proper software/hardware combination you should be fine. There is no need to decide that you'll never do anything in a forum. Forums are a great source of information and assistance. I for one know that I depend on various forums for help, for information, and news that I seem to miss despite my active reading of the morning paper.

At any rate, do as you wish, but I think you're being a bit dramatic.

Bern, don't let this one person get to you this much. I know they suck but it's not worth throwing us all away. Sure, cut back if life's getting a little hectic (we all do that), but it'd be a shame to lose some of your sound advice 'round here. :)
 
At least this wasn't one of those grand exit threads.

I agree with iGary, see ya next week Bern.

Just to confirm this for you and others, MacRumors never reveals e-mail addresses of members nor uses them for anything other than site-related communications. Some members choose to post their e-mail addresses in the forums or in their profile, but those who don't have a right to their privacy.

If you get a chance, please return to our forums.
