Hello Mac Users!

I'm happy to report that I am now the proud owner of a new aluminum MacBook after following the rumors almost daily for 6 months to replace my 4 1/2 yr old Toshiba Satellite.

I've stayed up until 2-3am playing with it the last two nights (my wife is not a fan so far) and am slowly figuring out how to work a Mac...so far, so good! The OS interface is so much more polished than XP...(although there are some goofy things I can't figure out yet).

So I am officially resigning as a Mac Rumors addict, and becoming a plain old Mac User - this will no doubt be a major blow to the webstats but now I can get back to my computing life, rather than "holding off" just one more month on anything new...

Glad to hear you are so happy with your MacBook, I am also glad to see that this was a positive post i thought for sure it was going to be one of those "I hate Apple, Apple sux!"

Oh... you'll be back. Just wait. You'll be back. Mu-ah-ah-aaaaaa:)

First, id like to say congrats.

Next, I wanna say that I'm going to be next to say good-bye tomorrow! My macbook is on its way and will be delivered tomorrow hopefully. IF all goes well, i too will no longer slave over macrumors as i did for the past 3 months!

Macrumors is not all about rumors,I'm afraid, you can find a lot of answers to questions you don't even have to ask..

Your story is my story! Except it's a 4 1/2 yr old Fujitsu Siemens I'll be replacing. (And I haven't actually replaced it yet. Next week!)

Congratulations! Glad you're loving it. Are you missing XP?! I think I might miss it, it's the OS I've been using since 2001, but I'm choosing not to be scared of change

I'm ordering my new, and first, MBP TOMORROW!! MUHAHAHAHA:cool::D

Imo, this is like someone saying, "I'm done with football practice and have just been placed on a team, so it's time to get rid of my gear." You can play without it, but it'll be much harder, and it'll hurt more.

You'll come back ... they always come back.

Well, you don't keep the wrapper of a Big Mac after you get you hands on that mighty meal do you?

You grab the burger and throw the wrapper in trash.

Which is why I threw out the box for my MB ...

You'll come back ... they always come back.

Unless they discover the wonder of worry free porn surfing and manage to avoid the tragic discovery of Mac trojans.

Such a large silicone enhanced world to explore out there. ;)

enjoy it... it's like when i quit apple, i became more productive and spent less on frivolous items that i didn't need. i am not concerned about "the next" best thing and refreshed product. you just gotta get over it and move on.

I don't believe you are leaving :O ..
I think I will actually post more when I get my new MBP because I will be able to help the noobs with their questions by posting completely biased and irrelevant answers rather than just state an answer based on silly logic and research >_>

Pffffffft, after getting the mac you'll find even more use for this place.

Congrats and stuff and I hope you don't regret that post too much in the future. ;)
