ok well i made this ebay purchase tonight. the price of the new black macbooks just too much (i thought they might have lowered it i guess). my budget more around 1000. so i got this:

2ghz C2D
1gig RAM
120gb HD
gma950
$1043 (shipping included)

that's a good deal right? i paid via paypal with my cc, so if anything fails here, i got backup. the user had 100% feedback though.

SuperDrive or Combo drive (if it's not a BlackBook; I wasn't clear on that). It almost sounds like base MB with a hard drive upgrade. The other question is how used it is. If it's a new-in-box black macbook I think it's a pretty good deal. You'll be having a blast on it!

yea its black. Nothing wrong as far as cosmetically or otherwise. Idk if I'd need more ram or not though. And it comes with tiger not leopard. I'll use that until I see some more of leopard. Tho my school has leopard for 69 dollars

Good find; I wouldn't worry about adding the memory until you need to, or if you know you'll be running any sort of big-time apps on it (Final Cut, Aperture, Photoshop CS3, etc.) Otherwise 1GB will keep you happy for a while.

The same goes for Leopard. Unless you're really into cutting edge and need a slick backup tool, there's no harm in sticking with Tiger for a while, until a .1 or .2 release. $69 isn't hard to swallow though, and if I had that option I would probably take it.
