Hey guys,

I was just wondering about the quality of Corsair RAM, as CanadaRAM is selling it at a cheap price of $128, and I'm interested in upgrading my MacBook to 2GB of RAM. Is Corsair good? Or should I just wait it out?

Thanks!

At the risk of being excessively self-referential...

Corsair have just released a Mac-specific part number # VSA1GBSDS667D2 which they are guaranteeing intel Mac compatibility on (this is the first time Corsair have committed to compatibility guarantee on the ValueSelect series). And they have come out agressively on the price.

Not sure how much ram the Macbook takes (I think 3GB) but you could probably find it cheaper somewhere else. Ram has dropped a lot in the past few weeks. Check out OWC.

CANADIAN dollars, folks... the OP is in Canada

US Mailorder sources are generally not a viable option for Canadian buyers after exchange, shipping, and customs brokerage are added.
Yeah, sorry I didn't catch that. I just assume there talking US dollars but I should look were their from first. I wish that people would put CAN after the dollar amount if their from Canada...

It is really amazing how RAM prices have dropped. I guess that always seems to happen over time, but they sure seemed to have decreased in the last year.

That RAM should work well for you. My Macbook has worked well with 2GB.
