With a little looking around you can find yourself a good G5. I got mine with
8 gigs of ram, a retail iwork 09 and leopard Disk etc. all of that for 80 €. I personally think that g4 machines are too old to be useful without any massive upgrades. G5s are still pretty useful.

I paid about 40€ for my g4 which was much too much. In Germany G4s go in the Region of 20 to 25€ for the early G4s http://kleinanzeigen.ebay.de/anzeigen/s-anzeige/apple-powermac-g4/185337630-228-7964

thank you for replying guys, won't get then as it appears to be too expensive

Can you at least give us the model and the specs? Being a G4 it could range from a lowly 350MHz to a MDD dual 1.25GHz.

the guy advertising it isn't providing much information about it sorry, 2 515 ram stick with 8 gig hdd

That really doesnt sound like a good deal then...by the way my g4 350mhz agp came with two apple branded hdds totaling to 90 gigs of storage.
