I'm pretty new to my mac and was wondering if there was a good mail notification app?

I've tried the google one but it only checks every 10mins (tried the hacks to change it but they don't seem to work). I've tried Adium but I don't like how the pop up shows in the middle of the desktop or the general feel of the app. Notifier is quite nice but I don't want to have to pay for one if possible.

All I am after is a simple free notifier that checks every minute and notifies me via growl or something similar. Being able to click and go to the full website would be nice too.

No hacks are required:
You can adjust the interval by clicking on the mail icon and then holding down the Command and Option keys while clicking on Preferences. This will pop open a box for a key/value pair. Use AutocheckInterval as the key (case-sensitive) and then set the interval (in minutes) for it to check as the value.

Download the GMail Counter extension for Safari - If you use Safari. On the top left Safari > Safari Extensions Gallery > Install GMail Counter extension.

I think this is what you want.
