Ok, I am making a home theatre based on an iMac Core Duo, and the one bit left unsolved is what projector to get. I'm on a budget of $2000 Canadian and I need HD because a blown up SD image would look bad. Any suggestions?

This is a pretty helpful website. You will be able to get a really great projector for under $2000 CAD (or $1796ish US). Just don't expect to get 1080i or anything. You should be able to find something that will satisfy your needs. Give it a look.

Their top rated 480p (854 x 480) projector is only $1099US MSRP. You can find better deals online. Shop here to find the model you want.

Humm.. I might be able to up the ante to $3000.. which could get me a 1080i model for a bit more.

With a higher quality model for this point in time, would suit you better, so it would technologically last longer.
