At the moment I've got the stock 500gb hard drive from apple and I was going to give it to my friend who also has a 13" mbp but with the 320 HD. So I was wondering what some good HDD are that fit into my computer? Like in the range of 750gb or 1tb?

All the brands are pretty much identical. I recommend a 750 gb 7200 rpm drive. Just make sure that the drive doesnt have an integrated SMS. I'm told that this interferes with the SMS already built into the logic board.

If you want to get 750GB 7200rpm get a WD or Hitachi. The Seagate 750GB is rather slow.

Personally I picked a hybrid Seagate 500GB XT. For my usage it's nearly as fast as an SSD.

WD Scorpio Blacks, longest warranty and most reliable.

WD5000BPKT (500GB)
WD7500BPKT (750GB)

I still have my WD external hard drives and they're a few olds, so WD hard drives should be fine ;D
