Good idea for an ONLINE button?

Just curious if anyone thought it was a good idea if everybody had an online button beside there name if there were signed in. If you have a myspace is has something like that.


just curious, please dont bag on me if its a stupid idea.

Oh wait, now that you mention it... I believe MacRumors has an "online" indicator below your name, next to the report symbol. It's the green circle thingy. If it's not bright green, then that person is not online.

The button never turns red as far as I know of.

It shows red in your own posts if you're in invisible mode. In invisible mode, you appear grey to everybody else (offline).

Ohh, I've never gone into cloak mode, not yet at least.

For the record MJ never goes invisible he just posts so fast you can't see him.

Maybe arn could change the graphic to a little apple that's white when you're online and gray (or outline) when you're not. Rainbow if you're invisible?

I'm invisible. I see the red button but I never click it because I'm afraid it'll turn off the internet.

thats an interesting idea. but no one knows who is invisible and it should stay that way such that they just appear offline.

i do like the white/glowing apple though.
