Hi All,
I mainly use it for writing but it'd be good to be able to view, manage and manipulate images too. What's the best one? I presume there's one in OS9 but I can't find it. If I double-click an image file it opens in Quicktime with no zoom options.

Also, for basic resizing, cropping, switching to greyscale, resaving - is there an inbuilt application thats light? I don't need anything like Photoshop. My clamshell is very low spec:

OS 9.2.2
Built in Memory: 64 MB - I added 256MB recently
Virtual Memory: 65 MB used on OS9
Largest unused Block: 47.6 MB
Mac OS: 20.3 MB

In the Apple System profiler it also says things like:

Disk Cache 2 MB
Video Memory: 4 MB
iBook
Processor Info: PowerPC G3
Machine Speed: 300MHz

Thanks
John

I used Photoshop 5 LE (kinda like elements) on my old 300Mhz ibook with only 160Mb of RAM, it did just fine :) You can pick up a copy on ebay pretty cheaply, just be sure to get a CD copy, as i think they were still selling it on floppies as well at the time :D

I can't think of any simpler apps for OS9, it's been far too long since i was using it, sorry

Oh, is there a built in one in which I can even just view and manage image thumbnails?

I can't think of any thumbnail viewers that come with OS9, it wouldn't surprise me if there was some freeware around though, there was loads of software kicking about around the end of OS9's life, just a case of looking around
