Are there any good iPad app blogs out there? Looking for one that will keep me up to date on the latest top apps, but also ones that don't always get the big sites coverage.

Thanks!
Kristal

Try Appshopper.com. They even have iOS apps that you can use to browse the store and they will send you notifications if the apps get updated or go on sale. It's very nice.

Shameless plug for my own site here.

It's called iPad Insight and is single-focused on the iPad. I do iPad app reviews, iPad accessory reviews, iPad tips and tricks, and some general editorial on news and rumors occasionally. The site is HERE.

TheiPadFan.com features iPad app reviews, news, and accessory reviews. I hate to promote the site I write for, but we are trying to expand.

One quick thing to point out, for me a key difference between my site and theiPadfan. They do paid-for reviews, and in fact give those far more priority than reviews they are not paid for. See their page promoting this stance here: http://www.theipadfan.com/get-your-app-reviewed/

They also do not do any disclosure on their reviews, to indicate which reviews are paid and which are not.

My site never accepts payment for reviews or coverage, as our stance is that this is not an ethical way to approach the reviews process. In fact, we're members of a group of app and game review sites (OATS) that seeks to uphold the highest ethical standards for app reviews. See our About page for details: http://ipadinsight.com/about

Readers can obviously decide which approach they prefer.

Patrick, I'm the founder of The iPad Fan and just read your comment with interest. Although our writer's reviews are unbiased I can see your point and will definitely check out OATS since this seems to be a good concept.

Cool. Glad to hear it. You'll need to stop offering paid reviews in order to be accepted as a member.
