Hey all --

I just bought a Logitech MX Master 3 for Mac mouse and the keyboard that goes with it. The mouse is Bluetooth only and was not able to be detected by the 2011 iMac. I was really excited about the Logi FLOW software to share mouse/keyboard and copy/paste but I couldn't get that to work on the two MBPs where the mouse was detected.

Really disappointed.. It seems like Logitech has all sorts of issues unfortunately. Congrats to you if you can get everything to work.

Is Logitech the best choice here? I'd like to get as close to the Apple experience as possible but something that has two buttons and a scroll wheel.

I have a logitech G602 which has been good, but after a few years the scroll wheel button no longer works.

I've avoided the Logitech software though and just use it as a basic mouse with the two buttons and scroll wheel. Logitech's software is... annoying, on PC as well.

If you have USB A ports I wouldn't bother worrying about bluetooth and just use the wireless dongle the non-bluetooth mice come with.

I have noticed that at least with my Microsoft bluetooth mouse, on my MBA it tends to interfere with my AirPods (the mic, not sure if it is a software bug or what) to some degree so there is that....

I"m planning to upgrade to a G604 which has both bluetooth and wireless via a dongle. Will be good to use on my PC/Mac via dongle and my iPad via bluetooth.

I would have tried the USB wireless dongle but the MX Master 3 for Mac doesn't come with one - it's unfortunately BT only. I was thinking about getting the one that is not just for Mac that comes with the USB dongle but then again my experience with the Logitech software was pretty bad. I just can't believe that after all these years there's nothing better than them. They need to put more effort in making sure their products work and be clear on what products they won't work on. I'm sort of tempted to go back to a wired mouse.

I was so looking forward to the Logi Flow software working well but wow, what a pile of bugs that thing is.

The Logitech MX 3 can be paired with a Logitech USB unifying receiver for one of its 3 pairing slots. I have my MX Master paired to two BT computers and to a USB receiver for its 3 slots. I paired the mouse by plugging the receiver into my Mac running the Logitech Options Mac software. Or you can pair the mouse to the receiver on a different computer (Windows, etc.) and then move the receiver to your Mac.

I got the "for Mac" version of the mouse and it does not come with that USB dongle. You have to get the other one which comes with the USB dongle.

Has anyone been able to get the Logi Flow software working well at all with copy/paste?
