Good music mixing FREE application?

I went to apple>downloads>audio & their music applications are OK but every one of them either doesn't save or isn't easy to do. I just want to be able to remix/cut a song. Like adding a different beat or something. Any ideas?

This is not a software issue. You'll need the orignal tracks that contributed to the master to do this properly.

Garageband should do what you want.

Audacity is a good free music application if you don't like it, though.

I am only using it for personal use so I don't think i have to do that...right?
