Who cares if it is in the right section or not, news that Futurama is coming back deserves to be everywhere! lol

I always liked this show, I thought it gave the Simpsons creates a chance to try out jokes and stories that wouldn't have worked with The Simpsons. Keep us updated when the shows will air.

Well, they did end with "See you on another network". I love Futurama, but I've seen the originals so many times, I can probably quote most of them from memory. :p

Great to hear! I wonder when these will come to Germany though... :(

You like Futurama? I would never have guessed! :D

The strange thing is that I heard this news a couple of months ago, but the rest of you don't appear to have known about it.

Shame, shame, shame for not keeping us informed

This is great news and lately it has been a trend for the t.v companies to launch American shows earlier here in Australia. Hopefully it will :D

In fact, I heard about it, too, on http://www.gotfuturama.com, shortly after the rumour about the Futurama movie, but this is from a different source, so hopefully supports what I heard before.

Hurray! It'll soon be time to fire up the BitTorrent client again (I refuse to have Sky and I'm not waiting for Channel 4 to start showing them)...

This may not be from the horses mouth, but it certainly originates from the stable, Billy West confirmed on his own site that this was the case.
I was waiting for someone else to announce the show's return to television
so I wouldn't get clobbered if I had any information that was inaccurate!

Yes-- what Katey said is true so there is every reason now (with no
reservations) to go nuts.I'm glad to go back to work on my favorite show!
I'm sure I'll be on a bunch of shows to promote this...
Futurama lives!

Billy
Good news in deed.

Darn!

I loved the show, but I am no basic. basic cable - so no Comedy Central for me.

Who knows, maybe that will change by 2008 for ya. ;)

And if not, there's always the torrent sites...

This is excellent news.

Though I'm not sure I'll manage to hold out until they appear on Norwegian TV2, which used to send Futurama, or DVDs (not even sure which will be first), so I might follow robbieduncan's example (at least until DVDs are available), and if anybody has problem with that they can bite my shiny... well, you get it, right...? :D

Why was my post deleted?

Anyway, this is awesome news...can't wait to see where they pick up given how the last episode ended.

Probably because it was a 1-word post. ("Awesome!", if I recall correctly...) 1-word posts, posts with only "LOL" or emoticons in them usually get removed by the Mods. I believe the feeling is that posts of that nature do not contribute in any way to the discussion and as such should be removed.

Finally, i've been holding out for those rumored dvds for ever since the rumors started, and 13 episodes sounds even better. I just wish I didn't have to wait until 2008.
