Hi,

MuscleNerd (iPhone dev team) has announced that he is going to release new version of redsn0w (very soon, maybe today) which will allow us to use firmware cooked with pwnage tool 4.1 in windows. In other words redsn0w will offer pwned-DFU mode.

So far, nothing have been told about the devices covered by this new redsn0w... Let's wait for the best..

Does it work with IP4? I just want to use DFU mode so I can use a custom firmware file. Keep on getting "Unable to recognize specified IPSW" when browsing for current 4.0 firmware file. I am almost 100% sure file(s) are correct. Looking at the readme file, doesn't look like it's supported.


Edit: Success. Had to select original 4.1 firmware file, select put phone in DFU mode, and then, restore with the custom firmware. Now, JB up and running.
