Hello all, it seems like a long time ago I posted my laptop for sail on craigslist. I received a scam offer almost immediately then I heard nothing. Today, 27 days after posting, I received an email asking about the computer. He is willing to pay me $400 in cash and pick it up at my house...I asked for $500 originally. http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/sys/304435076.html That is the listing, but what do you guys think....is $400 a good deal?

The fact that it took a whole month to get a legitimate offer should tell you something... take the $400. The only reason you're getting it is the warranty. I'd pay at most $350, brand new ones are $500 these days.

Greg.

400 seems like a fair offer, but then its really up to you as how much you are willing to sell it for.

I'd say that as long as you can meet up (safely) in person and collect the money there, It's a great offer. I'd definitely take it if I were in your position. Good luck on any potential sale.

That's probably not worth $400 at all, so you're making out good.

Come to think of it, I had the same model, just the cheaper Celeron M model, but that was replaced by a MacBook nearly a year ago.

Don't have him come to your house he could be casing the joint. Meet him at a local coffee shop you know that has a lot of business.

Thanks everyone!! I am meeting him wednesday night at a local Starbucks. Hope all goes well, and then I can finally get a stock white Macbook (2.0ghz) :D
