good or bad trade?!

so a while back i acquired a fully functioning (apart from needing a hdd) 17 inch white intel iMac, it was a 2006 model with the 1.83 ghz intel core duo processor it cam with a 2 gb ram stick installed i stole this iMac for 12.85 shipped on a 99 cent bid from ebay, it came from california to ohio and i know he paid more to ship it then i paid for it total. so fast forward to today i had posted it to craigslist for 100 dollars and it would come with nothing except the machine itself, i had already removed the 2 gb ram stick and replaced it with 2x512 sticks and still never installed a hard drive, i got an offer to trade for a 2008 macbook, its still the white macbook but it runs well has the 2.26 ghz processor and 2x512 ram and a 250 gb hdd, the only problem was it was missing the entire screen assembly but he would include an adapter to plug it into a monitor so it would be like having a desktop, this is something i had seen before and thought was interesting. i ended up telling him i needed a little more in the trade and he threw in a mint condition powermac g5 case with all fans and power supply included(which i needed because my powermac g5 is a little beat up) so we did the trade, i can get a macbook for parts for 60 bucks and use the screen keep the ram and hard drive for spares, sorry for such a long post but i had to get it out there. i think i fared pretty well whats the opinion on this!
