Hi all,
I have a 2009 silver unibody 13" mbpro that i adore. However, because my work uses software that requires Windows, I am using VMWare, which makes everything sluggish.
I am trying to fix this problem by upgrading my RAM- I have 2 GB in now, but several people who have had this problem have found VMWare to work much better with 4 GB.
I found the threads on how to do this here, and on the apple website, and it looks easy enough, but would like some recommendations on what brands you guys and gals have used to upgrade your macbooks, and if you know of any I should steer away from. This will be my first RAM upgrade, so I was a little overwhelmed with all the options I could find on Newegg.
Also, I noticed there are 2 x 4 GB sticks you can buy too, but the apple site says max RAM for my model is 4 GB. Is my limit really 4G, and if so, do you know what apple products have/can support 8 GB? Just curious on this last question, because I presume 4 is going to be fine in my situation. . .
Thanks in advance for any recommendations you can provide.
