Good selling price for my 2011 15" MBP?

Friend posted one for 800$. 8gb ram and original HDD. It never sold.

The EVO is 250$ new, so your price is not very realistic. You can try but you comment about not negotiable and not responding to calls outside of 613 just kills it.
 
I don't see why you couldn't get $800, thats a good deal for the specs you listed. However I would expand your options, maybe list it on eBay.
 
Not sure about Canada but I have been watching how much that exact model (with more or less those specs) sells for on eBay here in the UK and they go between £750 and £800 which is pretty much exactly what yours is selling for...and the ones I have seen sell for that much are scratched, damaged and some without boxes!

edit: in fact the ones I have seen which have sold for those prices don't even have an SSD! Just the standard 500GB hard drive that they came with!

They are priced more expensive new in the UK, so it's not really a fair comparison.
 
Well I'm putting in an Opti-bay in the MBP whenever it shows up. If I could get $1,000 for it that'd be okay but preferably nothing less. It's in virtually mint condition besides normal usage wear and works perfectly. I paid close to $2,000 Apple Refurb so I'd like to get something decent for it. I'm asking for only local replies because I don't want to ship it anywhere. Plus I don't want to get scammed out of money. I don't use PayPal so the only way someone could send me payment is through Interac e-transfer. I like to meet the buyer in person which I think it better.
 
You don't have to be so specific about your region. Especially you are in Ottawa. Many from Quebec will travel out to get it given if it's a good deal.

So I tweaked my ad and now I'm getting replies from in the US like Texas and Nevada. I'd rather not ship anywhere cause I don't want to get scammed.
