Now that I have my own computer, a mac, in addition to the PC in my home, I am looking for a good reliable solid router.
My situation;
1. PC in kitchen, Dell Dimension 2400, running windows xp home edition service pack 2, now with a wired only single Ethernet connection. It does not have wifi capabilities, the PC was bought in 2003. So I bought a Tplink wifi adapter for it.
2. Macbook pro 2010 i7 unibody, mac os snowleopard 10.6.3.
3. My current internet provider is at & t DSL, with a speedstrem router with one Ethernet port, & yellow Ethernet cable running from it to the PC, & a single Grey phone DSL running from the router to the back of a phone in my kitchen. I bought a TPlink wifi adapter because the PC did not have a wifi ability built in.
I would like a simple install setup of the router, & one that I can run more than one Ethernet cable to; to the mac as well as the PC in addtion to wifi. Also one that does not require windows service packs but just any version of windows I am not too experienced in setting up a network of computers, as so far all I have used up until this point is the PC with the single wired only connection.
