Hope I'm not in the completely wrong forum, but . . .

Wife's PC (boo) needs a memory upgrade. I'd go to Crucial, where I bought memory for my iMac, but they don't sell RDRAM (Rambus). Any decent sources for RDRAM like crucial? Gateway wants Apple-like prices for their memory.

Decent price for RDRAM:
SELL YOUR MOBO AND BUY A DDR RAM MOBO FROM PRICEWATCH.COM

It'll be CHEAPER than buying 512MB of RDRAM

But do what you gotta do, www.pricewatch.com is the best place for PC parts (and for mac parts when compatible)

Yeah, but I'd rather just plug and play with the memory and be done than fool around with a new MOBO and selling the old one.

It may not be worth bothering--it's a 3yo machine.
