Hi, I have recently replaced my 2011 iMac with a 2014 MacBook Pro. My desk is pretty small. I have been using a Denon UD-M31 hifi as my speaker output which sounds great, but with the speakers and hifi unit, takes up a lot of desk space.

I'd like some really good stand alone speakers to replace this setup, using less desk space, while the Denon gets removed to a room that still has CDs.

I'd like to spend under £100. I had some Monster 2.1 speakers a while back, and soundsticks, so something like those maybe? I'd like some bass, but not overpowering. I listen to all sorts, rock (mainly), pop, classical and radio.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks ;)

Correction: They were JBL Creature speakers
