From what I understand the iPhone 4 is mid-cycle at the moment, is it really a good time to purchase one? I'm in Canada so I'd be stuck with the phone for at least 2 years, probably 3 (hence why I'm hesitant to buy a mid-cycle one). Basically I'm worried that future iOS revisions would run crappy on the iPhone 4, any substance to my worry?

If you will be stuck with it for 2-3 years, you will run into the issue of the older devices not supporting all of the features of a new OS regardless of when you buy an iPhone.

With that in mind, I say go ahead and buy one now.
