hey guys. here's whats going on.

i've been reading a lot lately about time capsules's 17-month life and frankly, it's been creeping me out. i take seeing the random articles on engadget as an omen that my 1TB is going to die soon.

so, i decided to buy a drobo. i got a 1.5TB WD black drive coming that i can't wait to stick in there. but the new problem is ... how do i get my content off the time capsule and onto the drobo? i'm only moving ripped CDs and purchased iTunes content so i have to be VERY gentle with it so nothing goes wrong.

do have of you have any advice? tips? done it yourselves? thank you!

Hook the time capsule to you mac via the ethernet port, and the drobo via firewire 800. Should be painless.

Make sure you have at least two hard drives for the Drobo.
