I bought my second iPad yesterday..picked it up used from someone at a decent discount. This one will stay with me since my wife didn't like the first one I bought for her. I've got some minor development ideas to try with it.

It syncs up just fine, no issues there, but for whatever reason Goodreader is showing me files that I did NOT put in there. He had told me that he had jailbroke it and then reset it back to factory prior to selling it to me, but there are at least three PDF's that are still in there. I can see them in GoodReader (which I bought and installed off of iTunes myself) and when I use the GoodReader app to try and flag those files for deletion, it returns an "unauthorized" error message.

These are technical manuals, not like I'm stuck with a device containing someone else's porn stash, but they annoy me nonetheless. Anyone else have any files in Goodreader you can't delete? I can open them and see them just fine....just can't delete them.

Ideas?

Try wiping and resetting to factory from iTunes. Set it up as a new iPad; do not restore from a backup or those files may return.

Edit: also you can try removing them from the 'file sharing' area of iTunes' iPad screen while it's plugged in.

I've tried doing both...still there. I'm about to jailbreak it to SSH in and see if I can remove them manually....think that will work?
