Had to buy a new MacBook a few years ago after my daughers dog spilled a glass of wine she sat down and it burned up my motherboard. Repairs would be about the same as a new one.
Old one had the "T" type Power Adapter and I kept it as a spare. New one was the "L" style. Both worked fine, until about 2 months ago when my "L" one quit, and because I notices teeth marks near the "L" I knew my cat decided to chew on it, and figured that was the problem.
Bought a new but wrapping off of it "L" Adapter. Plugged it in. Didn't work! Thought defective. Went to an Apple store and they tried it on other Mac's. Works fine. Tried one of their working fine 60 watt "L" adapters running their display Mac's on my Macbook. WOULDN'T WORK!!!!
Thought maybe the plug on 'puter might be pushed in so that the body of the "L" might be resting against the case of my computer and not quite making contact.
Nope!!!!
Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!
Sooooo .... I have been told there is no software in the MacBook to "recognize" one but not the other.
Soooooo .... why will no "L" adapter work, but my "T" works fine?????
HELP!!!!!!
