Google Chrome drop and drag pics

I used to be able to drop and drag images from websites in chrome to my desktop and the images would stay on the desktop where i left them.. now when i drop the image to my desktop its goes in order rather than where i left it.. it works fine in safari so that makes me think my OS settings are fine.. is there something in chrome that i need to change?
