Google Chrome issues in Sequoia 15.1 General Release?

Chrome performance is terrible for me on my MBP 16 M1 on 15.1. I regularly get a quick freeze and the rainbow spinning wheel just scrolling pages for a second or two before things resume normally. Have tried resetting Chrome settings, disabling all extensions and still the same, across multiple sites. Worked just fine though the betas. Is this just me?

Do you have the memory optimizer in chrome enabled? It saves ram with unused open tabs. I have it set on balanced

Thanks for replying. I have 64GB so not sure that memory is an issue but will try that. Still have the issue from time to time but has lessened with the latest Chrome.
