Hey

So I am getting more and more used to Chrome, and am liking it tons. I would switch in a second but the one thing it doesn't have that Safari does, is smooth scrolling.

It's choppy and feels like IE

I downloaded smooth scroll plugin, and it makes it great with my mouse, feels like Safari, but the touchpad is 100000000 billion times more sensitive. Touching both my fingers down and just flinching makes me rocket to one end of the page.
I don't want to turn my scroll sensitivity down on system prefs because that will suck for everything else.

so other suggestions? can you edit a plugin somehow?? hmm

You can change the settings for the SmoothScroll extension, try and play around with them a bit :)

How???
Edit; im switching from the beta to the dev version

In Chrome, click on the wrench icon on the toolbar (to the right) and then in the menu that pops up click Extensions. In the window that opens find the SmoothScroll and click Options. Tweak the values around to see if you hit on one that suits your needs.

Did adjusting the settings remedy it for you?

I've tried this plugin and 2 others for a Magic Mouse equipped iMac. Still very choppy scrolling. I'd also switch to Chrome from Firefox if it were not for this issue.

Didn't work for me, either.

Is there a way to get Option+Down Arrow to do a page down in Chrome like it does in Safari, or is there some other key combo?

Thx.

I switched to Chrome several weeks ago after having used both Safari and Firefox for many years. I really like Chrome and have never had any trouble with scrolling, either with an old Logitech optical USB mouse, or my new Magic Mouse. Just lucky I guess. Once I figured out that I could use the ctrl-tab key combination to move from one tab to another I fell in love with Chrome. Safari used to take about a minute to open up my home page, the IMDb, after a reboot. Chrome, though, opens it in just a few seconds after a reboot. I should add that I am running the latest production version of Chrome, 5.0.342.7.

In the options you are able to adjust the settings of scrolling, but it adjusts everything. So either I have an ultra sensitive touchpad, or mouse wheel.
