Google Chrome, unable to update?

Is anyone else unable to update to the latest Google Chrome release? I keep getting an "error 12" issue on my iMac. I visited Google Help for a solution and followed their steps but their suggestions could not solve the problem. Could it possibly be a Lion issue, I wonder?

Anybody else with 2011 iMac and Lion update Chrome fine today?

I just got the same error message with Snow Leopard, so it's not a Lion issue.

Turns out I do have the latest version per the build number. But chrome still tells me I need to update. Don't know why.

Are you running as admin?

This was always an issue with windows.

I am having the same issue and I am NOT running the lastest build. I updated my Win7 no issues on the same network but no my Lion MB. Been looking for a while to see if anyone got a solution and nothing as of yet
