Will Google Chrome ever get the full screen app mode that Safari has? It's one of the few things that Chrome doesn't have.

When will it likely come out?

Go download Chrome Canary. It has fullscreen, and it just added slide animations for forward-back.

Google is tailoring the Mac version of Chrome as this is being written. New features will be rolled into the browser as they are completed. Therefore instead of one big noticeable change, there will be lots of little ones on a fairly regular basis.

Remember, the percentage of users with Macs is still quite small. Windows will always be first, like it has. At some point it's possible that might change. Yet that said, with Apple declaring Google an arch enemy, who knows.

Doesn't matter, I've installed Chromium and that has full screen mode :D

Thanks for the help guys! :)

Since OP solved his problem.... Does Chrome have any sort of forward and back gesture? I keep wanting to use Chrome/RockMelt but I literally cannot get past the fact there is no two finger swipe to navigate back and forth. There must be... what am I missing here?

Chromium has it, albeit not as smooth as Safari's but still... I heard canary has it too :)

You don't have to use the rather risky Canary build... I'm using Chrome in full screen right now and it's the dev build 15.0.854.0.
