If I set up my Gmail account to push contacts to my iPhone, if I'm somewhere without 3G/Edge/Wi-fi will I be unable to access my contacts? Thanks!

I believe you will always have the contacts on the phone anyways.

Mine are always there in airplane mode.

Oh I see. So when I set it up initially, and it says it'll delete the data off my phone...thats the only time it really needs a good connection? I'll still be able to look up a contacts info if I'm somewhere without coverage?

its basically 2 different records i think, one on google and one on your phone. they just mirror each other.

If you set up the google sync, just make sure that you see ALL of your contacts from the iphone in google 1st, then you can go ahead and set up the server info on the phone.
