Google Drive on Menu Bar (Macbook Pro)

For some reason, Google Drive is no longer on my Macbook Pro's menu bar (Dropbox is still there). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Google Drive but I still can't get the Google Drive icon on my menu bar. Does anyone know how I can get it back on my menu bar?

What happens when you open the "Google Drive" application?

Also, check to see that "Google Drive" is among the "login items"-- it's in System Preferences| Users & Groups
