Google Drive has been updated and it now utilizes the standard Android slide out from the left menu. Additionally, docs and sheets are now integrated. Here is the new bits:
Rearranged slide-out navigation panel with settings link (no longer in overflow menu)
Prompts to install Docs and Sheets for editing capability
Automatically uses Docs and Sheets apps in Drive
New file button now in overflow menu
New refresh item in overflow menu

Left image is new slide out menu. Right image is the right corner 3 dot menu. Don't know why Google left it there. That could have been integrated into the slide out menu???
