Google Earth 3D suppose to look bad on iPad 3??

Just tried it out but the 3D looks bad, Is it suppose to look like this?? I went to LA maps since it's one of the 3D maps available but it looks horrible like a bunch of blobs.

It looks great as long as your internet connection can cope with it - but it'll take a few seconds to load in the details - and even then it only looks good if you don't zoom in too close.
